What was the subbing group name? I've been watching for a while so might recognize some of the work :P
It's actually kind of funny that you mention that because I've been watching a old donghua called 'Hua Jiang Hu Zhi Bu Liang Ren'. The subs are good for the first few episodes then switch to another groups work which is probably one of their first pieces of work ever done so the subs aren't the best they could be and seem on par with google translation.

I've seen a lot of people complain over time about subs, animation and other things. To be honest, it does irk me that they complain about it when they have no idea of the work involved or would event attempt to do it themselves. I also wonder how many of them even understand more than one language as a lot of people are under the impression that English should be spoken everywhere. Personally, when I see a new group trying to do that kind of work, I actually look forward to their progression. AnimeXin is actually a recent subber who has made some tremendous strides in their work compared to how they started. The initial work was half readable but over time it became a lot better.

Yeah I removed it after I realised I might encounter some of my fansub members again, we lost contact with each other and in some way we thought it best we went out separate ways and never look back, internet being what it is lol also I didnt want to attract any anime studio's attention lol We were always fearful of cease and desist notices back in those days Our group was small, we did niche and old animes, like Hitsugi no Uta

Funny enough I met a retired subber by chance a few years ago who was a typesetter (the one responsible for fonts, and word placment for signs, letters, mail, blackboard and sometimes for timing the subs) for Naruto when it started, his group was called AnimeOne, he was doing it while I was I was still in primary school LOL

Translators are hard to find, especially for Japanese, then raw videos is the next issue, some group has some one who video captures the show (back in the day) and send them over to the rest of the group
A lot of the Japanese translators were students, either studying Japanese in the native country or were studying in Japan, nowadays a lot of the subs are provided by the studios themselves to try and shutdown fansubbing groups
The Chinese translations, are mostly from Indonesian background from what I am seeing, a few uses machine translations and of course there are some brilliant ones, like the one subbing this, and we still dont know who they are lol
If I were still in high school or university I would probably translate Chinese donghua instead of Japanese anime, since I would have more time and less real life commitments, hmmm maybe I should give up on my marine tank but it is sooooo beautiful and so relaxing

So found a copy of there work on youtube which had that translation on it. I was surprised at first but it made me laugh after because it was a female character that supposedly said it too.

I was thinking that he might be his father too which is why he went to attack her to save the guy who was causing trouble. I understand what you are saying regarding the pet hate but as you probably know if she had killed him it would have created more trouble than its worth. His obviously going to create trouble for her later or try to get someone else to take care of her in revenge for how silly she made him look. Hopefully, the teachers will see this so she is able to respond in kind and doesnt have to face any of the consequences that come with doing so.

I can understand that, he feels like he has a debt to pay due to abandoning her previously when she needed him and that repaying that debt is more important than anything else.

She actually does a lot more for him, and is one of the few lower realm people, actually excluding her father, one of three to go to the God realm and live out his life in peace along with the another lower realm inhabitant, this doesnt mean he is strong though, rather Jun Jiu takes him there with some protection barrier for him, since the God realm will literally crush him (and his soul) to death but that is towards the end of the novel, really near the end of it lol, the third one will appear later, you already met the other lower realm inhabitant
